My 4th book is NOW available on Amazon

Finally...It seems like it took forever, but the 4th book of The Deadly Desires Series is complete.  Deadly Desires - The Abduction by J. Brown is now available on Amazon as a softcover or a download.

To those of you who have read the first three books of the series and gotten to know Frank, I hope you will journey with me through his life and learn a lot more about him. He's a very interesting character.  He has a special place in my heart.

And to those of you who have yet to pick up a book, I hope you will.  It's an exciting, thought provoking journey with plenty of sexual tension and excitement.

Also, I hope all of you are hanging in there.  I know this pandemic has gone on a lot longer than anyone expected and is getting very difficult for a lot of folks.  I am grateful I was able to spend my time writing.

Take care and be sure to help others when you can.

4-12-21 Almost there!

Hi folks,

We are almost there...at the end of the Covid restrictions.  Don't give up now, we've made it this far.  We owe it to the folks that died, to stay strong. To do what we can to keep others safe.  Many were saved...maybe even you...from this horrific disease.  But many were not, because too many folks didn't believe it really existed, until 500,000 were lost in the U.S. alone.  Worldwide, it's almost 3 Million.

Do your research and choose a doctor you know and trust.  You must believe someone knows more than you do, when it comes to infectious diseases (unless you're an infectious disease specialist).  Listen to the facts and do what you can to help.

Nobody likes wearing masks or distancing from the ones we love, but if it helps them, it's a good thing.

And as they are saying, it should be ending very soon.

Stay Safe!  Live your Life!  Give to Others when you can!  And, when we can, share the hugs that have been on hold for over a year.

Love In Light,

Jeannie

2021 is Upon Us...Yay!!!

Hi folks, it is December 30, 2020.  We have one more day of 2020.  And then, we get to re-invent ourselves for the New Year of 2021.  A vaccine is being given out, so hopefully we will all be safe again from the horrific virus Covid19 (which shall not be named in 2021).  It took far too many lives.

A small stimulus package of $600. and an unemployment insurance extension has been approved to help the masses that have lost jobs, homes, health insurance, etc.  Hopefully, when Joe Biden becomes our President January 20, 2021, we will be helped again.  Then we will wear masks until March and come out of this alive and closer to one another, the way it was meant to be.  Even if you didn't vote for Joe Biden (I did), support the things he does to help others.  Let's make it about people, not the bottom line.  People are what make this world amazing, not how much we have in the bank.  Money definitely helps, but if either people or money disappeared, which would bring us together and allow the world to continue to exist and flourish.  (People's Love, Beauty, Joy, Kindness and Creativity)

Wearing a mask in not just for you, it's for the people around you.  You can have the virus and not even know it.  I did.  I went for a Covid test in November, because I was going to have thumb surgery.  They called me two days before and told me I had Covid.  I was shocked.  I don't see anyone in person.  I shop, but I always wear a mask.  However, once I ran into the gas station for an instant ticket and realized I'd forgotten my mask because I was on the phone.  I ran out and got it.  But all it takes is one time that someone sneezes or coughes before you enter and you walk into that.  Thankfully, my case was very light, but if I went around without a mask, it would not have been.   Please stay safe, for yourself and others.

And please continue being kind to others, doing what you can to help.  Also, continue your dreams.  They are very important.  It's what makes this country amazing.  All the creative people that allow their minds be open and then share the beauty with everyone.

May we all be blessed with a very Healthy and Happy New Year, filled with Love of yourself and all others. Joy for what our world has overcome and learning about what Loving Everyone really means.  Let go of past beliefs of one color, one ethnicity, one religion or one sex being superior to another.  It has never been the case.  Now that our eyes have been opened, let us rejoice in the Love that is shared freely.  Absolutely everyone has a wonderful gift to be shared with the world.  And everyone should be appreciated for it.  If you are helping, you are living a life worth living and you will have True Happiness.  As for me, I attribute that to my belief in God.

Happy New Year!

Love In Light,
Jeannie

In the midst of a pandemic

October 12, 2020

It's been a while since I last posted...but like everyone else, it's been a very strange time.  A time of reflection!  Wondering...whats next?

First of all, I am praying for everyone.  I know there are hundreds of thousands that have died of Covid-19 already and even more that got Covid-19, but survived.  And for those of you who are quarantined and nervous and afraid, I'm praying for you too.

And it's definitely been a time of frustration, anger and nervousness in our communities.  If we can all remember that God created us all in His likeness...so whether we are black, brown, yellow or white, we are all sisters and brothers and should care for one another and love one another the same.  Love is the most powerful gift we have to share.  And the best thing of all...it's FREE!   So please share it with others.  You'll be glad you did.

We need to hang in there and keep each other safe by wearing masks in public and helping those that you can.

And, we all need to keep our dreams alive, by continuing on with what we were doing originally, while leaving more time for family and friends.

With that said, I am writing my fourth book of the "Deadly Desires Series."  It's nice to get back into the rhythm of writing.  It allows me to be me and enjoy my time alone, in a world I create.

I hope your creativity is flourishing as well.   Love to all of you!!!

Stay Safe!!!  :)

Only 4 months since my last post

Well, folks, it is now July 21, 2020 and I have still not heard back from Audible about my Audio Book, "What Word Defines You?"  I have called and emailed several times and they say, that it is what it is.  The people in that department at Audible that listen to the books are way behind and don't necesssarily hurry.  I asked if there was anyone over there that I could call.  She said, 'no'.  Unfortunately everyone knows and I'm apparently not the first to complain.

So, I'm not sure what I'll be doing at this point...aside from emailing again.

Have a Great Day and Be Safe!

What Word Defines You? Audio Book

Posted by triacia37 on February 7, 2020 at 9:00 AM Comments comments (3)

Hi there folks,

Since the last time I posted, I managed to buy a microphone and Focusrite, so that I could record at home.  I recorded "What Word Defines You?" twice, but it was not excepted because it was too low.  I tried to turn up the volume and resent.  Still, no go.

So, I put out a request to Fiverr.  I needed someone who could give me step by step instructions and screen shots on how to bring the sound up without messing up anything else.  Well, one guy answered (a wonderful guy in Turkey).  He sent the instructions and screen shots, but some I still didn't understand.  So, on SuperBowl Sunday, he must have gotten up early, because he was online at 10pm my time.  We went back and forth with messages until I got it.

I fixed all the sections, and ran them through the ACX test, to see if it would be approved.

After I was done with that and went to upload to ACX, it said I needed to load in a 192 or higher bit rate.  Oh my gosh!  I had no idea what or where that was.  Back to Google, where I found a youtube video explaining how to change it.

I did and I uploaded everything and submitted it.

Please keep your fingers crossed.  I should hear in 7 - 10 business days.

I hope everything is well with all of you and that you are continuing to follow your dreams.

Love In Light,

Jeannie

Only 4 months since my last post

Hi there,

I'm getting slightly better about posting.  Ha!  It was six months between posts last time.

Anyway, I did hear from Audible and they couldn't use the recording, so I had someone on Fiverr take out the floor noise and my brother-in-law removed the reverb.  Still, they said it had too much eroneous noise.

So, I'm going to have to record the entire book again.

I'm fortunate that the library has a recording room to use for free.

However, their flourescent lights need to be fixed.  They hum and then they get very loud.  They need to fix the balast.

So, it's very hard to get through a chapter without having to stop.  As a matter of fact, I recorded the Acknowledgement, Proglogue and Title Page in the dark.  That's right...I turned off the lights and turned on a flashlight I brought with, so I could see what I was doing.    Story of my life...using what I have to make things work.  Hopefully, this time it will.

I've been thinking about turning my computer/work out room at home, into my recording studio.  I've heard that moving blankets are great for hanging on the walls and over the windows to remove any echo.  But, I do notice there is  aslight noise from my computer...not sure what to do with that.

Then I'll have to look into getting a good microphone.   It really would be nice to be able to record at home, whenever the mood hits me.

Anyway, I'm always looking at moving forward, changing the path a little to continue on my passionate journey of writing and getting it out there in a form that will entice folks to read.

I'd love for everyone to read my books.  I so love writing them and reading them myself.

But, don't forget to get out there and follow your passion to whatever it is you really want to do.

Goodbye for now.   I hope to post soon.

:-)

1-22-19 Happy New Year!

Hi!

I guess I'm getting slightly better.  It's only been 6 months since my last post, instead of 1 year.  Ha!

Still a lot going on personally, so I haven't been able to get to re-doing the audio version of my books.  I'm hoping things will be looking up in a month or so.  We shall see.

Meanwhile, I hope that you are all starting off year 2019 with optimism, hope and belief in yourself.  Everyone on this earth has special gifts...you just have to tap into them.   And, take it from me, just because you are good at something, it doesn't mean everyone is.

I've written poems since I was 12.  But, I just assumed that everyone wrote poetry because I did.  When I was accepted at the "American Academy of Dramatic Arts," in Pasadena, CA., years ago, I figured anyone who tried out must have been accepted, because I was.    I found out they weren't.

Now, obviously, not everything you go for works out...but it let's you narrow down your gifts to the one especially meant for you.

So don't ever give up on your dreams!   Look at me...I'm still hoping one day my books will be read by millions.   A girl can dream, can't she?

Have an amazing life.  I hope to post again soon.

Terrible Blog

Posted by triacia37 on June 29, 2018 at 9:15 AM Comments comments (5)

Hi everyone or anyone,

I know I  have a terrible blog.  I'm just not good at this.  You'd think being a writer, I would be.  But, when I write, I delve into another world, where I can have anything happen I want.  In a blog, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say.

So, here it is again, almost 1 year since my last post.   I finished recording the 1st book, "Time Release," and sent it to Audible.  They declined because they said there was 'floor noise'.   I wasn't even sure what that was.  I found out it was probably the flourescent lights.  I couldn't hear it, but then again I wasn't wearing headphones.   So, I re-recorded a sample after making some adjustments and still have not heard if it is okay.

I was told that trying to fix everything I had done, would be very tedious and expensive, because I couldn't do it.

Anyway, I hope there are still some loyal book readers out there.  The ones who love to hold a paperback in their hands and go on a journey.  But, if not, you can hold a kindle and do the same.

I haven't given up on the audio recording, but I've been very busy taking care of my Mom.  In and out of the hospital and rehab for a while now.

I hope you are all well.  If you do pick up a copy of my book...please let me know what you think.

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Jeannie

Well, it almost took me a year, but not quite.  tee hee hee.  Truth be told, I got an email saying someone commented on my website, so I came in to see, but nothing is here.  Then, I decided it would be a good time to update anyone interested.

I'd been looking for someone to turn my books into audio books and I found someone.  Unfortunately, time got away from him and almost 2 1/2 months later he said he wouldn't be able to do it.   Then a friend suggested I go to the library.  I was unsure as to why, when he said they have a media center.  I thought he meant to read about, but it turns out that they have rooms where you can record.

Long story short, I am recording my own books and it is quite fun.  It also takes a great deal of time.  Three hours for every chapter, to be precise.  I've completed ten chapters out of twenty in my first book, "Time Release."   Once I'm done, I will listen to all of them and see if I need to fix anything.  I've already fixed a few things.

But, when it's complete,  I will upload it to  Audible and it will be available there and on Amazon.  I'm very excited about this.   I know a lot of people don't have time to read, but they like listening in their car or when they're exercising.  So, it should work out well.

Then, I'll be on to recording my second book, "The Catwalk," and then my third book, "The Decision."

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a Great Life!

Jeannie
