Only 4 months since my last post

Hi there,

I'm getting slightly better about posting.  Ha!  It was six months between posts last time.

Anyway, I did hear from Audible and they couldn't use the recording, so I had someone on Fiverr take out the floor noise and my brother-in-law removed the reverb.  Still, they said it had too much eroneous noise.

So, I'm going to have to record the entire book again.

I'm fortunate that the library has a recording room to use for free.

However, their flourescent lights need to be fixed.  They hum and then they get very loud.  They need to fix the balast.

So, it's very hard to get through a chapter without having to stop.  As a matter of fact, I recorded the Acknowledgement, Proglogue and Title Page in the dark.  That's right...I turned off the lights and turned on a flashlight I brought with, so I could see what I was doing.    Story of my life...using what I have to make things work.  Hopefully, this time it will.

I've been thinking about turning my computer/work out room at home, into my recording studio.  I've heard that moving blankets are great for hanging on the walls and over the windows to remove any echo.  But, I do notice there is  aslight noise from my computer...not sure what to do with that.

Then I'll have to look into getting a good microphone.   It really would be nice to be able to record at home, whenever the mood hits me.

Anyway, I'm always looking at moving forward, changing the path a little to continue on my passionate journey of writing and getting it out there in a form that will entice folks to read.

I'd love for everyone to read my books.  I so love writing them and reading them myself.

But, don't forget to get out there and follow your passion to whatever it is you really want to do.

Goodbye for now.   I hope to post soon.

1-22-19 Happy New Year!

I guess I'm getting slightly better.  It's only been 6 months since my last post, instead of 1 year.  Ha!

Still a lot going on personally, so I haven't been able to get to re-doing the audio version of my books.  I'm hoping things will be looking up in a month or so.  We shall see.

Meanwhile, I hope that you are all starting off year 2019 with optimism, hope and belief in yourself.  Everyone on this earth has special just have to tap into them.   And, take it from me, just because you are good at something, it doesn't mean everyone is.

I've written poems since I was 12.  But, I just assumed that everyone wrote poetry because I did.  When I was accepted at the "American Academy of Dramatic Arts," in Pasadena, CA., years ago, I figured anyone who tried out must have been accepted, because I was.    I found out they weren't.

Now, obviously, not everything you go for works out...but it let's you narrow down your gifts to the one especially meant for you.

So don't ever give up on your dreams!   Look at me...I'm still hoping one day my books will be read by millions.   A girl can dream, can't she?

Have an amazing life.  I hope to post again soon.

Terrible Blog

Posted by triacia37 on June 29, 2018 at 9:15 AM Comments comments (0)

Hi everyone or anyone,

I know I  have a terrible blog.  I'm just not good at this.  You'd think being a writer, I would be.  But, when I write, I delve into another world, where I can have anything happen I want.  In a blog, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say.

So, here it is again, almost 1 year since my last post.   I finished recording the 1st book, "Time Release," and sent it to Audible.  They declined because they said there was 'floor noise'.   I wasn't even sure what that was.  I found out it was probably the flourescent lights.  I couldn't hear it, but then again I wasn't wearing headphones.   So, I re-recorded a sample after making some adjustments and still have not heard if it is okay.

I was told that trying to fix everything I had done, would be very tedious and expensive, because I couldn't do it.

Anyway, I hope there are still some loyal book readers out there.  The ones who love to hold a paperback in their hands and go on a journey.  But, if not, you can hold a kindle and do the same.

I haven't given up on the audio recording, but I've been very busy taking care of my Mom.  In and out of the hospital and rehab for a while now.

I hope you are all well.  If you do pick up a copy of my book...please let me know what you think.

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Well, it almost took me a year, but not quite.  tee hee hee.  Truth be told, I got an email saying someone commented on my website, so I came in to see, but nothing is here.  Then, I decided it would be a good time to update anyone interested.

I'd been looking for someone to turn my books into audio books and I found someone.  Unfortunately, time got away from him and almost 2 1/2 months later he said he wouldn't be able to do it.   Then a friend suggested I go to the library.  I was unsure as to why, when he said they have a media center.  I thought he meant to read about, but it turns out that they have rooms where you can record.

Long story short, I am recording my own books and it is quite fun.  It also takes a great deal of time.  Three hours for every chapter, to be precise.  I've completed ten chapters out of twenty in my first book, "Time Release."   Once I'm done, I will listen to all of them and see if I need to fix anything.  I've already fixed a few things.

But, when it's complete,  I will upload it to  Audible and it will be available there and on Amazon.  I'm very excited about this.   I know a lot of people don't have time to read, but they like listening in their car or when they're exercising.  So, it should work out well.

Then, I'll be on to recording my second book, "The Catwalk," and then my third book, "The Decision."

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a Great Life!

Happy New Year! 2016

Happy New Year!  2016

As you can see, I'm not very good at blogging.  My last blog was In January for New Years in 2013.  Wow!   That's a long time.  It's just that I'm more interested in writing stories than blogging.  I'm not even sure what a blogger is.  Does that make sense?  Anyway, I am going to do my best to post a lot more frequently.  However, I'm not even sure who sees these or if they matter.  I will have to tell myself they do matter and go with that.

I've been writing since I was 12 years old and I love it.  I've wanted that to be what I do for a living for almost as long.  I'm praying and believing that this year will be the year that it happens.

I've worked many jobs in my life...but always to pay the bills and get by.   I want to do more than get by now.  I want to do well because the gift God gave me provides.

I love helping people whenever I can, and this would definitely help with that.

I don't know what you're supposed to write in a blog, but this is what I know.  Thanks for listening and I hope your New Year brings you all the wonderful things you've been hoping and praying for.

Jeannie - an author whose books takes off this year  2016.  :-)    Happy New Year and God Bless all of you!

Happy New Year! to everyone.  I've still got a ways to go on my 3rd book, "Deadly Desire."  Unfortunately that virus hit me and it lasted 10 days.  I wasn't up for writing, so I'm behind on getting it done.  But, I'm ready to get started working on it again.  2013 is going to be an amazing year.  So, get out there and make life happen for yourself.

Let me know what you're up to.   :)

Difficulty with networking

It's so frustrating when it comes to getting my book out there.  Everyone thats read it, has said they loved it, but I need to get it to someone with connections.  If anyone out there has connections, please let them know about my book.

Thank you so-o-o much!

Meet Up Networking event

Last night I attended a Friends First Meetup event for social and business networking.  I was a little leary at first.  I haven't been to anything like that for a very long time.  Too busy writing.  LOL.

Anyway, I went and was very pleasantly surprised.  Everyone was so nice and supportive of my book, "Time Release."   Just goes to show, you never know until your try.  Thanks to everyone I met last night, for being so supportive.  I hope you have a great week.  And don't forget to email me and let me know what you think of my book.  If you purchase on Amazon, please leave a review.   Thank you so much. :)

Sheri,  good luck with your new job.

Time Release & The Catwalk

Hi Everyone!

As you can see, I'm new to blogs.  I've been so busy writing and re-creating the cover and ordering cards, I'd forgotten about my blog.  Anyway, here I am.  You may have noticed that I changed the cover for Time Release.  I really like it and now it looks more like a series, with The Catwalk cover as well.  I'm very excited and am hoping that people will start reading and talking about them.

The Catwalk will be out in May.  A friend of mine is giving it a final once-over to make sure I've caught any missed commas or end quotes.  Little devils seem to get up and walk away.  LOL.

Anyway, enjoy the read and share it with your friends.

Thanks. :)

Over 340 folks have watched my Time Release video.  That's pretty good for someone who doesn't know a lot of people.  But I want to keep it going.  So, please send it to anyone you can think of.  Thanks.
